About the course: The IADC WellCAP® Drilling Well Control Certification course addresses basic principles and theories of well control. It provides practical well control skills by presenting the most commonly used well control techniques through hands-on simulations exercises.
Course Schedule/Duration.
Course content: Pressure Concepts, Kick Theory, Causes & Detection of Kicks, Kick Warning Signs, Complications and Special Situations, Shut-in Procedures, Fluids, Killsheets, BOP Equipment, Constant Bottomhole Pressure Methods, Regulations, Subsea (if requested), Stripping and a brief discussion on Snubbing.
IADC WellCAP® & API Workover/Well Completion
About the course: The IADC WellCAP® Workover/Well Completion course is based on the principles and theory of well control using commonly used well control technique. The latest information and technologies available are used to instruct in maintaining control of the well during workover and completion operations.
Course Schedule/Duration.
Course content: Live Well Intervention Well Control, Complications, BOP Equipment, Killing a Producing Well, Pressure Control, Regulations, Surface/Subsurface Equipment, Kick Warning Signs, Remedial Fluids, Constant Bottomhole Pressure Methods, Stripping, Snubbing, and Coiled Tubing.
